Multiple Sclerosis Therapy
At RoboFit, we provide specialised therapy programs to support people living with MS. Our goal is to help you maintain independence, improve mobility, manage fatigue, and feel confident in your body again.
We understand that MS affects everyone differently. Symptoms may include weakness, fatigue, heat sensitivity, balance challenges, tremor, or visual changes, and they can change over time. That’s why we don’t offer one-size-fits-all therapy – everything we do is tailored to your abilities, goals, and lifestyle.
We offer traditional therapy with our Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists that also includes semi private group classes to help with your goals.
Here’s a closer look at what therapy for people living with MS looks like with our clinicians:
- Strength and functional movement training
- Balance and coordination training
- Fitness training to improve daily endurance
- Spasticity reduction and management
- Joint mobility and range of motion
- Fatigue management and pacin
Types of MS
Relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS)
This is the most common subtype, characterised by short attacks to the CNS leading to new or worsening of symptoms (relapses) followed by a complete or partial return to normal functioning (remission).
Secondary-progressive MS (SPMS)
RRMS tends to develop into RRMS. After a period of relapses and remissions, the disease changes to a steady progression of disability, with or without occasional relapses.
Primary-Progressive MS (PPMS)
Characterised by a slow, continuous worsening of symptoms from the beginning, without distinct relapses or remissions.
How we help
Personalised Exercise Programs: Moderate-intensity aerobic, strength, and balance training designed around your abilities.
Assistive Devices Guidance: Braces, walking aids, splints, or transfer aids – we help you use them safely to stay independent.
Fatigue & Symptom Management: Strategies to manage heat sensitivity, neuromuscular fatigue, and other MS-related challenges.
Technology & Equipment: Neuro-controlled exoskeletons, single-joint devices, and bodyweight support systems to safely practice walking and movement.
Ongoing Support: Our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists monitor progress and adapt programs as your needs change.
To help you reach your goals, RoboFit offers Australia’s only neuro-controlled exoskeletons for those living with Multiple Sclerosis. These innovative devices uses sensory feedback from the muscles in a natural way, allowing you to exercise in ways that you never thought possible.
We also use:
Single-joint devices to focus on specific joints (elbow, knee, ankle)
Bodyweight support systems in every clinic to safely practice walking
These tools, combined with expert guidance, allow you to practice confidently, improve function, and maintain independence.

Our Services
Exercise Physiology
Building on a foundation of traditional exercise physiology, our certified therapists also harness the power of HAL to help people living with Multiple Sclerosis achieve their goals.
Our sessions are done in a safe environment with falls prevention practices in place, with therapists using real-time data from the exoskeletons to meticulously craft a personalised training session.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Neurological physiotherapy targets neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the ability of neural networks in the brain to change and adapt through experience, growth, and re-organisation.
Treatments for people living with Multiple Sclerosis are focused on improving motor control, balance and coordination.
TELEHEALTH
We offer remote consultations with our therapists for those wishing to explore what training at RoboFit can do for them.
