We are continually using the data to further adapt sessions to reach your goals in a more effective way.
The HAL exoskeleton combines assistive technology with biofeedback. Through electrodes HAL is able to read signals being sent from the brain. RoboFit’s exercise physiologists and physiotherapists are certified in exoskeleton training, with extensive training that allow them to personalise the session based on the data being collected in real time. What does this mean? Therapists are able to see what muscle groups are firing, and when to assist personalising therapy to where a client is at and personalising support to help encourage the right neural pathways.
HAL TEchnology
Cyberdyne’s cybernetic technology focuses on providing you, the wearer and your therapist with the tools to see how your body is functioning. What signals are being fired. And when. HAL is more than one piece of assistive technology. Cyberdyne’s range of devices work seamlessly together to help you reach your goals.
- Lower limb HAL exoskeleton: assisting clients living with quadriplegia and paraplegia with gait training, posture, balance, sit to stand, trunk and core control.
- Single joint HAL exoskeleton: providing clients who have had a spinal cord injury with targeted support to the ankle, knee, elbow or wrist
- Lumbar support HAL exoskeleton: progression tool for clients transitioning out of the lower limb type HAL, as well as falls prevention, posture, seated reach, core control therapy
Our Services
Exercise Physiology
Building on a foundation of traditional exercise physiology, our certified therapists harness the power of HAL to help people living with spinal cord injuries to achieve their goals.
Our sessions are done in a safe environment with falls prevention practices in place, with therapists using real-time data from the exoskeletons to meticulously craft a personalised training session.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Neurological physiotherapy targets neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the ability of neural networks in the brain to change and adapt through experience, growth, and re-organization.
Treatments for people living with spinal cord injuries are focused on improving motor control, balance and coordination.
TELEHEALTH
We offer remote consultations with our therapists for those wishing to explore what training at RoboFit can do for them.
