Intensive Therapy
What is it?: High-frequency physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and neuro-controlled exoskeleton therapy delivered in structured blocks to accelerate functional outcomes.
At RoboFit, our Intensive Therapy Programs are designed to help you make meaningful, measurable progress in a shorter period of time. By combining physiotherapy, exercise physiology, and neuro-controlled exoskeleton technology, we deliver high-frequency, goal-focused therapy that supports improvements in strength, mobility, and independence.

What is an Intensive Therapy Program?
Intensive therapy is a structured block of therapy delivered with greater frequency and repetition than traditional weekly sessions. This concentrated approach enables our clinical team to work with you on specific functional goals more consistently, increasing the potential for neuroplastic change; the brain’s ability to reorganise and adapt. Every program is individually designed to match your goals, priorities, and current abilities, ensuring you receive the right level of challenge and support.
Why Intensive Therapy Works
Research and clinical practice both show that repetitive, task-specific practice is a key driver of neuroplasticity and functional improvement.
Intensive therapy:
- Provides a higher volume of practice than standard weekly sessions
- Allows clinicians to track progress closely and adjust programs in real time
- Uses advanced robotics to increase safe repetition and precision
- Accelerates progress toward your meaningful functional goals
Whether you’re seeking to break through a plateau, prepare for increased independence, or enhance your overall mobility, an intensive program offers a concentrated, effective pathway forward.

Funding & Payment Options
RoboFit supports a range of funding pathways:
- NDIS – Self and Plan Managed
- DVA & My Aged Care
- TAC, CTP, iCare, NIISQ
- Medicare EPC (CDMP) with GP referral
- Private health & self-funded
We assist with quotes, documentation, and reporting to help you maximise your available support.
Our intensive Programs are designed to adapt to your unique needs. To determine if intensive therapy is suitable and at what duration/frequency, RoboFit begins with a initial consultation which will determine this. If you aren’t sure if you will suit it please give us a call on 1800 560 842 or enquire via email hello@robofit.com.au
Program length and intensity varies based on your goals and clinical plan; this will be discussed during your initial assessment. Some participants attend for a week and complete 3 hours of sessions a day and others complete 1.5hr a day each day for a month.
Robotics are used when clinically appropriate and suitability to the participant to enhance practice; not all sessions require robotic technology or will be safe to do so.
You’ll receive a summary report and recommendations for ongoing therapy or your next intensive block if appropriate.
